At Sacred Hearts Psychiatry & Addiction Medicine, the approach is to take time to develop a therapeutic relationship with each individual and get to know their unique journey.
Selecting an appropriate treatment plan will be an outcome of the patient’s diagnosis as determined throughout the psychiatric evaluation; however, it also requires knowledge of the patient’s current symptoms, trauma history, and previous diagnoses and psychiatric treatment experiences. The components of the treatment plan will vary depending on the individual needs and preferences of the patient but will generally include treatment that addresses the patient’s primary and co-occurring diagnoses.
